“Summer Breeze”: A Lace Crochet Top You Can Wear Without a Camisole! (New Crochet Pattern)
We are so excited, because it has been a dream of ours to publish a wearable crochet pattern designed by us! We have been publishing crochet patterns since 2022, but until now we have mainly focused on toys and home decor items.
Of course, Susanne has been designing knit and crochet garments for herself and her family for the past 20–30 years, but she never had the opportunity to publish any of them. Until now!
The idea for the Summer Breeze lace crochet top actually dates back to 2017. Ursula wore the original top for years and years, until it eventually stopped fitting her – after all, it was made in size XS!

Nearly ten years later, with much more design experience behind us, we decided to revisit the idea. Susanne crocheted a new version, made a few small improvements, and wrote out the crochet pattern. After testing and grading, the pattern is now available in 7 sizes, from XS to 3XL.

So why was this crochet summer top such a favorite in Ursula’s wardrobe for so many years?
Because it is breathable, comfortable, and practical. Made from 100% cotton yarn, it is light and airy on warm days. The lace pattern gives it an elegant look, but unlike many lace crochet tops, it does not require a camisole underneath. Let’s be honest: in a heatwave, who wants to wear extra layers?
That is why the top was designed with a solid bust panel from the very beginning, allowing it to be worn comfortably with just a bra underneath. Trust us, it is no hotter than wearing a regular T-shirt!
The Summer Breeze crochet top is also surprisingly versatile. Pair it with a floral skirt for a more elegant look, or wear it with shorts or jeans for a casual summer outfit. It works just as well for a day in the city as it does for holidays or trips to the beach.
